How do I talk to LOTUS?
Tap the lotus flower at the bottom center of the screen to open the chat. From there you can type, or tap the microphone to speak. LOTUS understands natural language — try "schedule gym tomorrow at 6pm" or "what's on my day?"
What is the wake word?
With wake word enabled in Settings, you can say "Hey LOTUS" to start a conversation without touching your phone. It's off by default and can be turned on or off anytime.
What is auto-listen?
When auto-listen is on, the microphone reopens automatically after LOTUS replies, so you can hold a back-and-forth conversation hands-free. It follows LOTUS's spoken reply, so it requires Executive.
What's the difference between Secretary and Executive?
The calendar, tasks, notes, photos, and daily briefings are free for everyone. Secretary unlocks LOTUS herself — the chat where you tell her your day in plain language and she schedules it, breaks projects into steps, and reminds you ahead of deadlines. Executive includes everything in Secretary and adds LOTUS's voice, so she speaks her replies aloud and can read your schedule back to you, plus Auto-Listen so you can reply hands-free.
Is there a free trial?
New subscribers to Executive monthly get 3 days free. The trial begins when you subscribe and converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. Executive yearly and both Secretary plans do not include a trial period.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, and select LOTUS AI. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.
I subscribed but nothing unlocked.
Open Settings inside LOTUS and tap Restore Purchases. If that doesn't resolve it, email us and we'll sort it out.
Wake word isn't responding.
First, check that Wake Word is switched on in LOTUS Settings — it's off by default. Then check that microphone and speech recognition are enabled for LOTUS in your iPhone's Settings under Privacy & Security. Wake word listens only while the app is open and on screen, so it won't respond from your home screen or another app. If it's still not picking you up, try saying "Hey LOTUS" a little more clearly and from closer to the phone, and you can always tap the lotus flower to talk instead.
The microphone isn't working.
Check that microphone and speech recognition are enabled for LOTUS in your iPhone's Settings under Privacy & Security.
LOTUS isn't responding.
LOTUS needs an internet connection to think. Check your connection, and if the problem persists, close and reopen the app.
My tasks aren't syncing.
Make sure you're signed in and connected. Your data is stored securely and will reappear once you're back online.
What happens to my voice?
Speech is transcribed to text using Apple's speech recognition. We don't store recordings — only the resulting text, which is handled like any other message. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account or data?
Open Settings inside LOTUS and tap Delete Account. This permanently erases your account, tasks, notes, and photos — it can't be undone. If you'd rather we handle it, email support@lotussecretary.com from the address on your account.
